VPN - How to use it

If you need to work with documents from the Q drive or other resources only available on the Red Cross' IT network, you can use the installed Cisco VPN client (Virtual Private Network). Through this program, you can access the RC IT network; it only requires internet access.

How to connect:
Click on the Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client icon in your taskbar or type 'Cisco' in the search bar located on the taskbar.



Click Connect (if the server address field is empty, then enter the VPN address - vpn.rodekors.dk).



Enter your email, for example, someone@rodekors.dk


After that, you need to enter your password.


Depending on your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA - see guide), please follow the instructions.



Once the VPN is connected, the menu will disappear, but if you click on the VPN icon in the taskbar, you'll see that the VPN connection is established.



To disconnect your VPN connection, click the "Disconnect" button.



If you attempt to use your VPN while connected to the internal network at Blegdamsvej or any of our other locations, the program will not work. You can only use your VPN connection if you are outside the drk.int/rodekors network.
